Through Vistar Media’s partnership with Locala, advertisers can measure how digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaigns influence in-store visits across Canada. Locala connects ad plays to verified movement data to show whether exposure to an ad leads to higher visitation rates. The result is a clear view of store visits, footfall uplift, and average distance traveled, which are essential metrics for evaluating advertising effectiveness.

What Locala measures:

Locala provides clear, data-driven insight into how DOOH exposure drives real-world outcomes. Using advertising measurement and control-versus-exposed methodologies, Locala isolates the incremental lift in store visits directly attributed to campaign exposure. By comparing audience groups that saw an ad to those that did not, brands can determine how DOOH contributes to their business objectives.

How it works: 

Locala geofences the DOOH venue locations associated with a campaign and ingests Vistar’s ad logs to identify device IDs that were exposed to an ad. Those same devices are then matched to devices seen in-store, from participating retail or service locations. This process enables conversion rate analysis based on real-world behavior.

By comparing exposed and unexposed audiences, Locala calculates the uplift in store visits directly linked to campaign exposure. This method produces statistically sound and privacy-compliant results that show whether DOOH media drives measurable action.

Locala offers four report tiers designed to match campaign scale and available budget. All studies must pass a feasibility check to confirm sample size and statistical confidence.
